In our industry good supplier-customer relationship depends on several key factors, and quality of polymers is certainly one of them. However, a great customer service package also has to be mentioned in this respect. As integral part of our service package, the team of Polymer Application Engineers undoubtedly play a vital role in meeting the needs of our customers.
Polymer Application Engineering specialists are located in Bratislava and in Tiszaújváros, close to polymer production and to the other polymer experts of the company. However, our PP & PE experts operate also “in the field” and they are in direct contact with polymer converters all over Europe. They deal with technical issues and troubles connected with our polymers, participate in industrial testing and processing, and bring solutions to our customers. They monitor our customers' technical requirements and contribute to the development and innovation of our product portfolio in harmony with market trends and company strategies.
Work and activities of the “field engineers” would not be smooth without great support of their office colleagues working as administrative and laboratory support.
Another key activity falling within the tasks of the Polymer Application Engineering team is preparation of technical documentation, provision of technical support on polymer fairs, preparation of product portfolio related articles and presentations, trainings for sales managers, etc.

Logistics
FORWARDING
MOL Logistics is responsible for organising transport of polymer and monomer products from Tiszaújváros and Bratislava as follows:
- Road transport as FTL (Full Truck Load) transports with tautliner trucks, LTL (Less Than Truckload) transports, Bulk Road transports with silo trucks
- Intermodal, combined transport as Sea container transports (FTL -Full Truck Load- in 20’ and 40’ container), Dry bulk container transports (30’), Covered wagon transports by rail
- Rail Tank Car transport
- LTL (Less Than Truckload) Sea and air transportation

STORAGE and HANDLING
The granules are packed in LDPE bags, the size of which is 400x800x150 mm. Each bag contains 25 kg of granules. The bags are placed on PRS4 (CP4) wooden pallets in 11 layers with 5 bags per layer. There is no glue between the bags, embossed foil is used to avoid slipping. The pallets are fixed with stretch hood film, the size of the final packaging is 1100x1300x2000 mm.
In case of polypropylene products, Big Bag shipping is also available. The size of the Big Bag is 1040x1040x2000 mm, placed on a CP9 wooden pallet.
The final packaging is marked with a label that contains the mandatory information about the contents: material, batch, weight and date of packaging.
PRS4 wooden pallets are the property of PRS and are collected by PRS after transport. All used pallets undergo heat treatment.

Since both polyethylene and polypropylene are combustible materials, fire safety rules for combustible materials in warehouses and storage rooms must be observed. If polymers are stored in high humidity and fluctuating temperatures, atmospheric moisture can condense inside the packaging. In such cases, it is recommended to dry the granules before use. During storage, polymers should not be exposed to UV radiation and temperatures above 40 °C.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage caused by improper storage.
