Low-density Polyethylene

Low-density Polyethylene

TIPOLEN is the registered trademark for low-density polyethylene (LDPE) grades produced by MOL Petrochemicals Ltd. in Tiszaújváros, while SLOVNAFT a.s. products produced in Bratislava are marketed under the brand name of BRALEN+.

TIPOLEN is produced by high pressure polymerisation in BASF tube reactors. Density range is 920-923 kg/m3.
BRALEN+ is produced by high pressure polymerisation in the new Basell tubular LDPE 4 line. Density range is 920-933 kg/m3.

The excellent physical and mechanical properties provide a wide range of applications of this polymer. BRALEN+ and TIPOLEN are available in a number of grades for all processing technologies as follows:

  • films
  • injection moulding
  • extrusion
  • tubes and pipes
  • blow moulding

Most TIPOLEN and BRALEN+ grades satisfy the regulations applied by the European countries (EEC). Because several European countries apply restrictive regulations for the allowed migration values of additives in packaging material in contact with food, it is recommended that customers contact MOL Petrochemicals and SLOVNAFT for special information.
