Wide range of both Paraffin waxes and Microcrystalline waxes are available in MOL Group’s product portfolio, in compliance with most of the market standards and regulations from candle making to food industry. Our wax products are available in Liquid, Slabs and Pastilles forms. MOL Group is also an ideal service provider of small producers due to the one pallet minimum order limit.

MACRO PARAFFIN WAXES

Macro Paraffin Waxes are mainly used in candle industry and in different industrial applications.

Product names reflects to the melting point of the given product.

E.g. FR DWC 5456 - Fully refined Candle grade Paraffin wax with melting point between 54 and 56°C.

Macro Paraffin Waxes are available in Liquid, Slab and Pastille form.

Our Macro Paraffin waxes are available in Candle grade (DWC) and FDA grade (DWC-EX) qualities.

MICRO WAXES

Micro Waxes are used in food applications, packing and other special applications.

Product names reflects to the congealing point of the given product.

E.g. FR DMWF 7883 - Fully refined FDA quality wax with congealing point between 75 and 80°C.

Micro Waxes are all available in Liquid. DMWF 7883 and DMWF 7478 are also available in Slabs form.

Our Micro Waxes are available in FDA grade (DMWF) and E905 grade (E905 DMWF) qualities.

Other waxes

Other Waxes are mainly used in emulsions and petroleum jelly production, also as a blending component for wax-based applications.

Time window
To shorten loading lead times and enable our Partners’ most efficient service, at the Liquid Wax loading sites time window booking is necessary. The time windows, with exact date and time of the loading are indicated on the Confirmation of order, sent on every Wednesday but latest 3 working days before loading.

DELIVERY ARRANGED BY MOL

We have contractual relationship with most of the major forwarder companies, and we choose the highest service quality and most competitive one in case of every single destination in order to supply our customers with the lowest possible delivery charges next to the highest service quality.

TRANSPORT

Paraffins can be shipped in liquid and solid (slabs and pastilles) form. Mode of transportation:

  • Liquid by road tank cars
  • Solid by road tank cars or by container for overseas markets
  • Departure ports for containers are Koper (Slovenia) and Hamburg, Bremerhaven (Germany)

Important information concerning the loadings:

  • As the truck number is received from the Buyer, MOL Plc. will let Buyer know the loading number/ customer is able to check the loading reference nr. in ISA system.
  • The drivers have to check in with this loading number at the refinery’s entrance.
  • After that the driver has to fill in a data sheet: Carrier name + address; Driver(s) name; Vehicle Reg. Nr.; Goods name; Consignee (name, destination); Place of border crossing.
  • The trucks are loaded based on their given time loading slot.
  • Drivers must wear protective clothing (a boot, a long, abrasion-resistant suit/trousers, and a helmet) without these equipment the truck/tanker will not be allowed into the territory of the refinery.
  • Mode of filling: upside.
  • Road tank-car with flexi-bag or with trailer cannot be loaded, because our loading site is technically not prepared for these alternatives.
  • Road tankers and ISO containers on road, RTC and ISO-container on railway (max 13m axle length) are allowed
  • The parameters of road tank-cars should be:
  • Height: 2.900-4.100 mm; Wide: max 3.000 mm; maximum 3 compartments.
  • The road tank-cars can be loaded from 7.00 a.m. to 24.00. but MOL Plc. is able to hand out documents only until 22.00. Road trucks have to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled time-window to ensure MOL’s daily loading plan.

Order and packaging

MINIMUM ORDER AND MAXIMUM ROAD TANK CAR LOADING WEIGHT

Minimum orders in case of:

  • Solid: 1 pallet
  • Liquid: 22-24t

Maximum road tank car loading weight (FTL)

  • Usually in case of slabs = 32 pallets = 22,3 t
  • Usually in case of pastilles = 32 pallets = 23 t
  • Liquid = 22-24 t

DIMENSIONS AND PACKING OF SOLID PARAFFINS

Slabs
Dimension 48 cm x 29,5 cm x 5 cm / slab

  • 1 slab = 5 kg
  • 1 carton of slabs = 30 kg net
  • 1 pallet of slabs = 24 cartons = 720 kg net
  • Dimension 800 x 1200 x 1355 / slabs (EUR pallet)

Pastilles

  • 1 PE bag of pastilles = 25 kg
  • 1 pallet of pastilles = 27 PE bag = 675 kg net
  • Dimension 800 x 1200 x 1600 / pastilles (EUR pallet)

Container
Standard packing depends on whether destination port is allowed to receive goods on palette or not.

  • With pallet → 18,5 tons / container
  • Without pallet → 19,44 tons / container
From HSE consideration we are not allowed to load any liquid products into containers.
We can pack your products in neutral carton boxes or even print per request your own brand name on it.

What is ISA?

ISA is a MOL internally developed online ordering system for our B2B customers.

* the commercial invoice can be downloaded, however, the correction, cancellation and proforma will only be available later

How to get started?

  • Go to this link in order to create a Partner Portal account
  • Fill in all the requested fields at the “Account data”
  • At the end of the Account data sheet, click on “Add new represented company”
  • Give your partner code and company’s name. The partner code (SAP partner ID) can be found on your invoices.
  • Please let us know if you registered then we activate your account.

General info regarding the ordering process:

  • first on email you need to ask your sales representative about prices and current availability
  • if you receive the offer from our side you can register your order in ISA (the price won’t be visible)
  • after the confirmation in email the loading number will be visible on ISA webpage
  • the dispatch advice email is still working (sent by chemical_products@mol.hu)

Sample sending

Providing samples of requested products to our existing Partners and especially to the potential new ones to enable the best choice in product ordering.

For the testing purposes we can deliver maximum 5 kg free samples from our products.

Up to 5 kg can be combined from our liquid and pastille products, but in case of slabs, a sample of at least 5 kg can be requested (it is a dimension of one slab).

For the successful sample dispatch, following data should be provided:

  • Name of the company
  • Address (for the sample dispatch)
  • Contact person: Name / Phone number / E-mail address
  • Product / Quantity

If you are a New customer requesting a sample, before we can dispatch it, following steps are needed:

  • Registration of your company in our system (usually takes 2-3 days).
  • For receiving only a free sample, contract is not needed.
  • After successful activation, we will request the sample and inform you about availability and ETA.
