Propylene
Propylene is mainly produced by cracking naphtha, and it is the basic raw material of polypropylene homopolymer, impact and random copolymer production. MOL Group runs two naphtha crackers with altogether 330 kt/a propylene capacity in Tiszújváros, Hungary, and one naphtha cracker in Bratislava, Slovakia, with 110 kt/a propylene capacity. The Hungarian crackers are running with LINDE technology; the Bratislava cracker is running with ABB Lummus technology. The majority of propylene is consumed within the MOL Group; however, a small portion is occasionally sold. For more information regarding propylene sales, please visit the "Contact us" page.
