At K 2016, Windsor & FCS to injection mould a clear PP toolbox made using Milliken’s Millad® NX™ 8000

Specialty chemicals supplier Milliken & Company is partnering with Germany’s Windsor Technologies, Taiwan’s Fu Chun Shin Machinery Co. Ltd. and MOL Group at the K 2016 show in Düsseldorf to showcase the processability and superb properties of the MOL Group’s polypropylene clarified with Milliken’s Millad NX 8000

Remaining true to Milliken’s core themes of “Making Polypropylene Clearer, Better and Faster”, on Booth B11 in Hall 12, Windsor – the European distributor of servo hydraulic-driven injection moulding machines from Fu Chun Shin -- will be producing small, transparent assortment boxes.

They will produce the boxes in a Hünersdorff GmbH mould running on an FCS 1500 kN press using MOL Group’s TATREN RM 45 55 CLEAR grade of resin. The material, produced by MOL Group, contains Milliken’s Millad NX 8000 clarifier. Injection moulders choose Millad NX 8000 for its clarity and low-temperature processing.

MOL Group, which will occupy Booth C71 in Hall 8B at the K Show, says its TATREN RM 45 55 CLEAR polypropylene resin is a random copolymer with excellent processing stability and high fluidity. It is characterised by excellent transparency and high gloss. Because it is a reactor grade, it has excellent organoleptic properties that make it suitable for demanding food-contact applications.

Through Windsor, FCS in Europe offers moulding machines ranging from 350 kN up to 40.000 kN with a toggle clamp unit as well as a two-platen design. It aims to deliver affordable, customised, two-platen machines with short delivery times.
